BNews–MAGELANG– – Raisa dan Sam Kim merilis lagu berjudul Someday pada Jumat, 12 November 2021. Lagu ini merupakan bagian dari album ke-4 Raisa yang akan dirilis berjudul It’s Personal.
Kolaborasi Raisa dan Sam Kim ini berawal dari Instagram. Kemudian mereka terlibat penuh dalam pembuatan lirik lagu dan produksi.
Dilansir dari Newsen, Raisa yang pertama kali mengajak Sam Kim berkolaborasi lewat DM Instagram. Pelantun lagu Kali Kedua ini mengaku sebagai penggemar Sam Kim hingga akhirnya ia meminta label rekamannya, Juni Records untuk berkolaborasi.
Sejak satu setengah tahun lalu, keduanya saling bertukar pikiran dalam pembuatan lagu melalui telpon, chatting, dan video call.
“Sam Kim dan saya menikmati waktu bekerja sama. Kolaborasi berjalan dengan baik. Ada kesamaan antara musim Indonesia dan Korea, sehingga setiap pendengar dari kedua negara dapat menikmatinya,” ungkapnya.
Dalam musik video yang dirilis di channel Raisa, Sam Kim ikut muncul meski keduanya melakukan syuting secara terpisah di Jakarta dan Seoul. Raisa dan penyanyi berusia 23 tahun tersebut diceritakan menjalani hubungan jarak jauh.
Someday adalah lagu R&B ballad yang menceritakan kisah pasangan yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan perasaan mereka yang sebenarnya satu sama lain dan keduanya menolak untuk mengecilkan ego mereka.
